The apotheosis of the pancake

(Bisquick pancakes with maple syrup)

I promise, this pancake jag will come to an end. These were just too fantastic to pass up shooting tho.

I call this the Apotheosis of Pancakes because these pancakes are worthy of worship and awe.

This morning my oldest daughter decided to make her own pancakes. For these she used Bisquick and in particular she used the “supreme” modification you will see on some of the boxes.

“Supreme” Bisquick Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 2 C Bisquick mix
  • 1 C milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

  • Stir JUST until blended
  • Pour 1/4 c batter onto hot grilled skillet
  • Cook until bubbling and edges are dry
  • Flip

These, hands down, beat the pancakes I shared a few days ago in terms of loft so I thought I would share the food porn of these pancakes being enrobed by maple syrup.

Enjoy.
