Kelly: Thnx for stopping by!

these are considered beans.

Peas are of the P sativum species - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pea

while soybeans are of the Glycine Max species - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soybean

Both of these are different in some ways from "green beans" which are the unripe (not dried and ready to be shelled) beans like hericot verts, etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_beans where you eat the pod and immature beans.

When I am out in the garden I eat raw green beans from the plants - sweet.

I lightly cook the green beans so as to retain crispness and flavor. Homegrown green beans are some of the easiest and tastiest things you could ever eat, cooking them too much is cruel!

Hi Nika! Are these considered green beans or green peas? I was just discussing this at http://www.bloggersbase.com/articles/lifestyle/sports-and-fitness/green-beans-will-help-to-lose-weight and I had the spelling wrong.

Amazing tips as usual Nika. THANK YOU and I hope you are doing great! :)
