This is a sponsored review by BlogHer and Newman’s Own.
Recently, BlogHer and Newman’s Own gave me and my family an opportunity to taste test their new line of pizzas.
I will review these pizzas in this post and will also share a giveaway at the end of this post (A Newman’s Own gift basket worth $75, contents vary).
We live no where near a pizza delivery place and we do not tend to go out to eat so if we want pizza we have to either buy it in the store and keep it in the freezer or make them from scratch.
Storebought pizzas come in a huge variety of types, prices, and quality. Most are not all that inspiring but when I saw that Newman’s Own was making pizzas I thought I would give it a try.
My reaction was immediately a good one while still in the store, reaching into the freezer when I saw that their pepperoni pizza was made from uncured non-chemical pepperoni – major bonus! Another seriously major bonus is that the crusts are multigrain – excellent!
We grabbed one of the pepperoni pizzas and a four cheese pizza (mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, asiago).
These two pizzas (medium in size) and a salad from our garden was our supper for five that night. They cook up quickly (10-12 minutes) directly on the racks of your oven.
We found that the pepperoni was quite flavorful, rather delicious even! I was happy to taste the lovely flavor, thinking it was a definite win for Newman’s Own and the consumer!
See the thin crispy crust.
The cheese pizza was also quite lovely.
The kids barely said a word as they chomped down on their slices. The older child and my husband (as well as I) enjoyed these pizzas and would definitely recommend them.
Newman’s Own shared the following additional information that paints a more complete picture of the quality of these pizzas:
- In pursuit of a wholesome meal option? Pair a salad with a Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy pizza. The pizzas have top-notch, hand-selected ingredients and 0 grams of transfats. No artificial ingredients, either! Newman’s Own thin crust pizzas have fewer calories and carbohydrates (25% less for Four Cheese) per serving compared to rising crust pizzas.
- Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy pizzas deliver a convenient meal solution with little sacrifice to the budget and at the same time provide a win-win on two key factors: all-natural and full taste.
- If you want a higher-quality, all-natural alternative to the big brands, Newman’s Own Thin & Crispy pizzas fit the bill. NO stands for not only Newman’s Own, but NO modified food starch, NO sodium nitrate, NO modified corn starch; you get the picture!
- Newman’s Own Thin and Crispy pizzas deliver delicious, high-quality, all-natural ingredients to the table with the added benefit of convenience, healthier option and popularity. It takes only 10-12 minutes for a Newman’s Own Thin and Crispy frozen pizza to bake to perfection and at about half the cost of take-out pizza.
